Tides-Rider HDK

The Tides-Rider is a modern, MSX2+ compatible motherboard which combines classic VDP and other custom chips with a turbo-capable Z-80 operation up to 20 Mhz.

It provides a DMA mechanism in the cartridge slots which enable CPU replacement or debugging cartridges. A built-in micro-sd slot provides mass storage using the on-board nextor rom.

The Tides-Rider uses the following classical chips (NOT INCLUDED):

• VDP (V9958, required)
• 2 or 4 64Kx4 DRAMs (VRAM for VDP, DIP18, recommended 4 chips for 128KByte)
• RTC (RP5C01A, DIP18, required)
• Z-80 (Z84C0020, DIP40, required)
• PSG (AY-3-8910 or YM2149, DIP40, required)
• OPLL (YM2413, optional)
