Takanami 512 (v5)

Z-80 accelerator at 20 MHz for MSX classic computers.

Runs asynchronous to mainboard. Keeps motherboard timing while achieving full 20Mhz speed in local ram or flash rom. Provides 512 KByte of mapped ram in a selectable slot (should match mainboard ram).

Only MSX with a physical Z-80 in DIP format can be upgraded. If your MSX has the Z-80 inside a engine SoC, you can't use a taka-nami with it.

Important: Needs a socket to replace the old Z-80 cpu. If your MSX has a Z-80 directly soldered on board, you need to have the Z-80 replaced by a socket (a round pin socket is highly recommended)

New proto 5 includes a new flash rom to provide full turbo speed in bios/basic

Note that some MSX are too noisy to work reliably. It is currently tested to work on:

- SVI 728/738

- Philips 8020, 8235, and others

- Sony HB-10/20P

- Panasonic FS-A1
